When I run Remote Reboot X - Version 1.5 and choose the WSUS - search, download, install updates or the WSUS - search, download, instal + reboot if required on my windows server 2000 SP4 machine, I keep getting back "There are no applicable updates" from the application. This is of course directly after it displays "Installing updates..." for a split-second. Do you know what may be the issue?
Thanks,
JH

JH - I don't think there's an issue. It sounds like there are no applicable updates to install. Take a look at C:\RRx\rrx.log on the remote machine as well as %windir%\windowsupdate.log if you'd like more information about specifically what's happening. However, it sounds to me like there just aren't any updates available for that particular machine according to your WSUS server. Remote Reboot X displays "Installing updates..." for just a second as a generic "work is being accomplished" message. During this moment a script is running on the remote computer that checks in with the WSUS server to see if there are any applicable updates. In this case it immediately sees that there are no updates to install and then reports "There are no applicable updates..." I'll see if I can clarify the notification messages in the next release so that there isn't any confusion.
