Doug,
This has got to be the best companion tool there is for WSUS. Something it should have had from day one. Thanks for saving us all lots of headaches.
AND HEY!! I'm the first post :)

Thanks, Matt. And congrats on being the first forum poster! I plan to move all the comments to the forum soon too, which is probably a more logical place for them anyway. Glad the app is working for you. Thanks again.

Doug, I agree with Matt, great app.
Just a question or feature request..
Is it possible to avoid the \RRx\rrxTemp.log in the remote (patched) host and eventually store it locally?
Thank you!
Angelo
sorry C:\RRx\rrx.log file
Angelo - thanks for the suggestion. I will consider this for a future release. -Doug
Feature request (for when you have 5 minutes on a Sunday): First, could there be a way of importing hosts from a file, so as to avoid keying them. (Saving State then Loading State helps, but it is still necessary to have keyed them all in the first place, I think?) Second, even better, could there be a way of importing the results from the 3 Apps into the Remote RebootX Console?
Thanks, Doug.
Gramps - I just use copy and paste to import the hosts. Importing from a file would be trivial, but I always found it best for me to just paste in what I need. Nothing ever has to be manually keyed. But I'll add the import file option for a future release if it would help that much.
Doug, thank you. Yes, I can see how to copy and paste, eg from a text listing exported from AD and selectively edited into groups as per your recommendation. The reason it would be very useful to be able to import results from the Apps, though, is that I run a school network where I sometimes have the opportunity to force an update on a bunch of desktops during a lunch break—so it would be great to be able to seize such opportunities quickly: use an App to get the targets needing attention and feed them straight to the console, rather than doing a clumsy text edit first. I cannot usually even rely on the desktops being left switched on for when I need them. That’s a bit different from your situation where I expect you can rely on most of your 100 servers being switched on all the time—even if your 1 hour deadline is so much more pressing than mine. Thanks again.

I just wanted to say this is a great APP and its exactly what i have been looking for.
The reason I love it is because I need to maintain a lot of machines but I don't have access to the WSUS server. This allows me to remotely push updates and see if updates are needed. I have come across some machines that are failing i can now work with PSEXEC and admin shares to fix the problem then use your tool to try and check to see if the updates still fail or not...... thank you very much for this
When i get paid again I will be donating to you.
Thanks sstretchh - it's much appreciated.
